Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription injectable treatment that temporarily relaxes muscles by blocking nerve signals. It is most commonly used to smooth facial wrinkles such as forehead lines, frown lines between eyebrows, and crow's feet around the eyes. Botox is also used for medical conditions, including excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), chronic migraines, overactive bladder, neck muscle spasms, and certain eye disorders. Mild side effects like bruising, swelling, or drooping eyelids may occur. Results typically begin within a few days, are fully visible in about 1-2 weeks, and last around three to four months before retreatment is needed.
